Guinness Beer Bread

Why buy a box of "dump & go" beer bread mix, when making something this delicious is so easy?

  • 3 cups flour
  • 1.5 Tbsp baking powder
  • 1.5 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup dark brown sugar
  • 12 ounces Guinness stout or any beer you like
  • 1/4 cup butter melted


  • Preheat oven to 350F. Spray the interior of your Deep Covered Baker (or loaf pan) lightly with cooking spray.
  • Whisk flour, baking powder, salt, and brown sugar until no lumps remain. Stir in beer and melted butter. 
  • Spread batter in your prepared Deep Covered Baker. Cover, and bake for about one hour, or until a tester comes out clean.
  • Serve warm or room temperature with butter.
